The love triangle of the century is about to come to a close. Yes, Archie Andrews has finally chosen his girl! For over 65 years, the story never changed, Archie could never seem to choose between rich snobby girl Veronica Lodge or sweet-girl next door Betty Cooper. He almost made a decision, in the landmark “Love Showdown” storyline in 1994-95. But it turned out to be an old flame being rekindled in the form of Cheryl Blossom. That was without question, the most talked-about, most publicized and most popular Archie Comics story, EVER. Until now! On September 1st, newstands across the globe will be buzzing with buyers for “Archie Marries Veronica Part 1: The Proposal” Wow. I won’t sit here and lie and say I never read an Archie comic. I was OBSESSED. Every little bit of my allowance money went into one of these comics. Then, I grew up. Haven’t read one of these comics in YEARS. But I’ll tell you one thing, I will definitely be getting a copy of this historic comic come September! I totally disagree with him marrying Veronica though. Archie and Betty are meant to be. End of story! So hopefully, something happens where he realizes who his true love is.
