So there’s this big controversy today surrounding  ex-Danity Kane member Aubrey O’ Day’s comments on Sean Hannity’s show. During the show, a heated discussion insued with Aubrey, defending comments by Congresswoman Watson, saying Fidel Castro was “an incredibly brilliant man” an adding that Hitler too was “a brilliant man”. Now, if you watch the clip, you’ll see that Aubrey also mentioned that she is NOT defending his behavior in many instances, nor is she condoning Hitler. So now, what’s the problem? Is it not true, that most criminal minded folks are brilliant? Hell, did the FBI not hire Frank Abagnale Jr. to work for them after he successfully conned millions of dollars. Granted, Castro may be known as a “murderer” but I too agree, he was a brilliant man. Maybe “brilliant” was the wrong word. Perhaps “smart”, “shrewd” or “clever” would have been a better choice. They all pretty much mean the same thing though. Regardless of all this, aren’t we in a world where there is such a thing called
freedom of speech” or did we forget? So yes, he was a brilliantly clever man.  I don’t even see how someone can dispute that. Crucify me.
P.S. I DO NOT CONDONE, NOR DO I AGREE WITH THE MAJORITY OF HITLER OR CASTRO’S BEHAVIOR. THANK YOU!
A little while after the interview, Aubrey defended her comments by speaking to MTV:
“Murderers and dictators generally are some of the smartest people out there – they just use their brain power for evil purposes.
I don’t condone any of their evil behavior, but I was asked about their intellectual firepower… and in my opinion you can’t have a low IQ and wreck [sic] that much havoc on the world.
What Hitler succeeded in doing, was deplorable… And I hope we never see such an abusive use of power again.”
