New Moon Breaks Single-Day Box Office Record!

The second installment to the Twilight franchise, New Moon took in $72.7 million in its first day to break the single-day domestic box office record set by “The Dark Knight,” which had a $67.2 million opening day last year. On the midnight showings alone the sequel made a record $26.3 million, placing it at No. 1 on the all-time list of top box office grosses for that segment in domestic markets, said Summit Entertainment, the independent studio behind the film.

This is utterly amazing! If you haven’t seen either of the films, you must see them now! Go buy the books and read them as well. Such a great series, that deserves all this success!
