‘La Soga’ NYC Movie Premiere & After Party!

TrueExclusives had a chance to attend the NYC premiere of ‘La Soga’. The film follows the personal journey of Luisito (aka ‘La Soga’), as he struggles to find redemption after the brutal murder of his father. Set in the Dominican Republic (and New York City), it showcases the raw and gritty reality of this third-world country. Manny Perez (writer-star) did a wonderful job on this fast-paced, edgy thriller. The vivid (and beautiful) imagery, makes you feel as if you’re actually inside their world. Some viewers have expressed anger at the focus of explicit violence and corruption, but you certainly can’t deny its impact. I recommend you go out and support this independent film.
