Billy Ray Cyrus opens up to GQ Magazine about his daughter Miley Cyrus. Billy Ray believes “Hannah Montana” ruined his relationship with his daughter — claiming, “The damn show destroyed my family.” Ray hasn’t spoken to his daughter since the bong video scandal and he says “I’m scared for her. She’s got a lot of people around her that’s putting her in a great deal of danger.” Billy says he wishes “Hannah” had never happened — saying, “I’d take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be everybody okay, safe and sound and happy and normal.” He claims Miley’s handlers got in the middle of his relationship with his daughter and prevented him from properly parenting her through difficult situations … including the Vanity Fair cover scandal and her controversial pole dancing performance at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. He even goes as far as comparing Miley to Anna Nicole Smith, saying “You could see that train wreck coming.”
Well damn! Who knew all this drama was surrounding the Cyrus clan? It’s also rumored that Miley is upset with the things he said to GQ. Miley reportedly made sure that Billy Ray dropped out of his scheduled interview with ‘The View,’ states PopEater. Miley reportedly defended her father at first, but changed her mind when she found out about his upcoming media tour.
I’m sure this story won’t end here, but my question is this: How the HELL are you the parent and you allow her “handlers” to get in the way of your authority? #CMONSON.
