Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend 25-year-old Matthew Rutler have been arrested on suspicion of DUI (Rutler) and on suspicion of public intoxication (Aguilera). Sheriff’s Deputy Bill McSweeney says Aguilera was a passenger in the car (which was stopped on a West Hollywood street), appeared to be “extremely intoxicated” and unable to look after her own welfare. Rutler, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence. His bail was set at $30,000. Sources close to Aguilera tell TMZ they have been trying to get the singer into a rehab program for weeks. For the past year, Aguilera’s life has been on a constant downward spiral. A failed “comeback” album, a canceled world tour, a divorce, a movie bomb, flubbing the National Anthem at the Superbowl and now being arrested. I hope for her son’s sake she can get her life back in order.
