Ginuwine Says Aaliyah Would Be ‘Neck & Neck’ With Beyonce

In a new interview, R&B crooner Ginuwine says that Beyonce reminds him of Aaliyah. “Aaliyah was in a class by herself,” Ginuwine tells theboombox. “If you’re talking triple threat of a writer, singer and actress, that would probably be Beyoncé. If Aaliyah were still here, she and Beyoncé would be neck and neck.” The singer also comments on Aaliyah comparisons with new comers in the game; “Ain’t nothing wrong with that,” he says. “I think everyone should aspire to be someone great, and that was one of the greats. Aaliyah was one of the great ones.”
