Back in May BET announced that after seven years of hosting its #1 rated live countdown show 106 & Park, hosts Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz would be leaving the show. The two delivered the emotional announcement together live on air and acknowledged that they would be pursuing various opportunities and roles.  Today it was officially announced that in Terrence’s case, one of those roles will be co-host to Giuliana Rancic on E! News. Terrence will be filling the shoes of former E! News co-host and executive producer extraordinaire Ryan Seacrest, who stepped down back in January to focus on his many other projects (Keeping up with the Kardashians, American Idol, etc.)

On the opportunity Terrence stated, “I’ve had a great career so far, and it’s all been building toward this. And then getting to work with great people like Giuliana and the entire E! News team just makes this seem like an even more perfect opportunity.”

In addition to his new gig, Terrence’s acting career has been flourishing with roles in Sparkle, Think Like a Man, & Burlesque & the hit TV show, The Game. He is currently finishing up his last days at 106&Park and will start his new position on November 12. 106 is currently conducting an online and live search to find its new hosts, no word on any future projects in the works for Rocsi.
