Last week saw rapper, actress, Covergirl, and now daytime talk show host Queen Latifah debut her new talk show. Now we understand why she is called the Queen.
According to reports “The Queen Latifah Show,” had the highest debut of a talk show since “Dr. Oz” premiered in 2009. Her first show as we reported featured John Travolta and Willow Smith.
Queen Latifah reported to the Associated Press that, “I’m not trying to throw myself out there to get ratings, I’m really more interested in building something that’s entertaining to people.” She also went on to say that, “I learned I really have to be true tomyself,” she said of the lessons she took from her previous stint on daytime TV from 1999 to 2001. “I want to go out there and do something that feels like me every day and is something I’m comfortable with and excited about.”
We look forward to more episodes of the show and check your local listings for times. Congrats to the Queen!
