Big Boi and Andre 3000 are back to their old ways and the music duo of Outkast will be performing together for the first time in 8 years. Announced earlier this month the festival, which is completely sold out as always will host its two weekend long gathering starting April 11th-13th and April 18th-20th. Coachella will be just one stop along their tour across the country including a stop at the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE.
Their 2004 Speakerboxxx/The Love Below album earned them the Grammy Award for Album of The Year, the first and only won by a hip hop group. Their last album Idlewild (2006) was self written for the movie in which they both appeared in. Since then, both members have taken a hiatus to pursue other avenues of success. Big Boi has since made his acting debut in the 2006 film “ATL” alongside rapper TI. Andre 3000 has stayed close to home, jumping on Drakes “The Real Her” and Chris Browns “Deuces (Remix).” Fans of the group can expect an interesting show this spring. Outkast has always experimented with different genres and styles in their music that to this day makes them one of the most successful hip hop groups.
