The J&R MusicFest 2010 took place this past weekend with a free concert by Roc Nation’s own J. Cole & Alexis Jordan, alongside Marsha Ambrosius. Newcomer Alexis Jordan opened up the show with a dope acapella of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” (which showcased her silky vocal chops), and her dance hit “Happiness”. J. Cole had the NYC crowd in an uproar as he rapped some of his now classic mixtape joints & his hit “Who Dat”, along with the summer joint ”I Want You” ft. Miguel. I missed Marsha’s set, but I heard she ended the show like nobody else could! Friend to the site, Karina Pasian was spotted enjoying the festivities as well! Last night in New York City, real R&B was showcased in the form of Dru Hill & Faith Evans (and a special appearance from Project 718).  Faith Evans (aka the first lady) rocked the house as soon as she stepped on the stage with party hits like “All Night Long” & “Love Like This” along with her classics such as ”Soon As I Get Home”.  She introduced R&B group Project 718, who sang an awesome cover of Usher’s “There Goes My Baby”.  Then Dru Hill brought the house down with their old school style of pure sangin’. They went through hits such as “Tell Me”, “In My Bed” & more.  Sisqo tributed Michael Jackson with a performance of “Billie Jean”.  If you missed this show, don’t fret! TrueExclusives will have footage up soon. TrueExclusives got a chance to attend the Bleu Magazine 4th Anniversary Bash at the trendy Bo Concepts in Soho, NYC. Teyana Taylor was the guest of the night, as she graces the cover (along with Actor Brian White). We got a chance to chat it up with Miss Taylor after the party, where she talked about Michael Jackson’s death a year later today, her friendship with Chris Brown, her new movie and more! Dirty Money releases the music video to their “Hello Good Morning (Remix)” featuring Nicki Minaj. This joint is so crazy it’s unbelievable! Nicki has a new blue/greenish wig atop her head, which will surely fuel more Lil’ Kim wannabe rumors. What are your thoughts on the video?

Checkout this new leaked track from singer Keyshia Cole. I  love how the song has a dark vibe to it and she sounds really good vocally. The lyrical content also lets us know that Keyshia isn’t shying away from her “heartbreak” style. What are your thoughts?

PS: Some folks are saying this isn’t Keyshia (like the last leaked song). Sounds like her though…

Chris Brown took to his Twitter and revealed a new look via Twitpic. The photo most definitely fit his caption of “Tatted like a cholo”. It looks as if his entire chest, arms and neck are covered in art. A part of me can’t help but wonder if this is his way of dealing with the backlash from the entertainment industry. I hope for his sake it isn’t though, because he will surely regret this when all is said and done. Another part of me is wondering if he wants to really take acting serious, why would he get so tatted up? Rapper 50 Cent removed his tats to focus more seriously on acting. Either way, he seems to enjoy expressing his way through inked art. What are your thoughts?
